4. about the gadget
The Gameserver Gadget is a plugin for the Google Desktop Sidebar. It integrates into the sidebar and displays the configured gameservers there. In the options dialog or the right-click context menu you can add new servers. These servers can be added to categories to better organize them. With the buttons "<" and ">" in the titlebar you can change through the categories. For every server the gadget will show servername, ping, players and maximum players in the sidebar directly.
When you click on a server a detailsview is displayed, which contains additional information such as map, server rules and the active players on this server.
5. search for installed games
To automatically recognize your installed games, click on the titlebar of the gadget and select "Search for Games". The gadget will then automatically search for installed games and save their installation directory. Should a game not be found (for example if you haven't installed but copied it or the registry entries have been deleted), you can search for the executeable by clicking the button right to the games list in the options dialog.
6. configuration
In the options dialog you can add, edit and remove servers. Select the server from the list and click the appropriate symbol. You can also add servers by right clicking on the titlebar of the gadget and select "New Server".
The list of games contains all games which are supported by the gadget. If you see "(installed") behind a game then it was successfully found. The buttons next to the games list allow you to manually search for the executeable file, remove/uninstall the game or automatically search for installed games.
The third list in the options dialog are the categories. You can add as many categories as you want to organize your servers. You must have at least one category.
With the checkbos "Refresh list every xxx Seconds" you can activate a timer which will query the servers every xxx seconds.
7. languages
The Gameserver Gadget can be translated using the files in the "Language" subdirectory. The installation provides a german and english language file. If you translate the gadget into your language please send your ini-file to mail@clan-city.com so we can include it into the setup of the next release.
